Events Not to Miss in April in Cyprus 

In Cyprus, Spring is at its dazzling best in the month of April, which is marked by fairs, bazaars, music festivals, and numerous social events.

With the weather warming and the evenings stretching longer due to daylight saving, April is the month to come out of hibernation and plug back into the social scene.

April 1

Theatre: Just Tell Them Santa’s Dead
Theatro Dentro, Nicosia. 8 pm
An original one-act series attempting to reclaim and modernize themes explored by classical playwrights such as Shakespeare, Euripides, and Sophocles. The cast features a balance of characters that include LGBTQ+ and minority representation. In English.

Spring Edition Bazaar
Bazaar: Yfantourgeio The Workplace, Nicosia. 11am – 8pm
Local artists will set up tables and stalls with handmade creations. The bazaar will include jewellery, clothes, paintings, and ceramics among other goods.

Spring Festival (April 1-2)

Festival: Multispace on Ippokratous Street, Nicosia. 11am – 8pm
Flower workshops, Easter creations, and more. The organisers promise “festive decorations, lively environment, and great vibes.”

Festival. Omodhos village. All day.
Organised by village café George’s Daughter & Son, the bazaar will feature handmade items by Cyprus-based artists.

April 2

Music: Vienna Boys’ Choir
Nicosia Municipal Theatre. 6.30 pm
The choir, which is celebrating its 525th anniversary this year, will perform in Cyprus for the first time. The concert also features the Cypriot soprano Chryso Makariou and the Cypriot girls’ choir Vox Venus under the direction of Eleni Kyprianou.

Music: Contemporary Greek
Nicosia Municipal Theatre. 8.30 pm
Greek singer Eleni Vitali and guitarist Panagiotis Margaris in concert, performing songs from their rich discography as well as many of their favourites.

Music: Yaala Ballin in concert
April 7 — Antonakis Music Hall, Nicosia 8.30 pm, April 8 — Music Academy Aspa Vasilou Pahpos 8pm, April 9 – Sto Perama, Limassol 8 pm
Israeli  jazz-classical singer Yaala Ballin will be joined on stage by numerous performers from Cyprus as well as double-bassist Ari Roland from the US and pianist Vahagn Hayrapetyan from Armenia.

Festival: 5th Spring Festival
Nicosia Municipal Park 10am-8pm
Families will get to enjoy horse and pony rides, trampolines and bouncy castles, paintball shooting, flower painting, and many more activities. Entrance to the festival costs just €2 which will be donated to a charitable cause.
